Frequently Asked Questions
Discounty writes the sale price onto the product, so removing the app on its own does not put the old prices back. Open Safe uninstall, its own item in Discounty's menu on the left: it ends your campaigns first, the prices return, and then you remove the app.
No. The widgets are a Shopify app embed you switch on once in the theme editor, and nothing is pasted into your theme's code.
The widgets use Shopify's own app embed, so they work on Online Store 2.0 themes. Themes still differ, and if a widget sits wrong on yours, support will fit it to your theme.
Yes. A Shopify discount code applies on top of a Bulk price editor sale price. For the other campaign types, Shopify's own combination rules decide what stacks at checkout. Combining two Discounty campaigns with each other is a setting on the Discounty plan.
Yes. There is a free plan with no time limit, and the paid plans start with a 3-day free trial.
Yes. A Bulk price editor sale shows at the register on every POS plan, because the price on the product itself changes. Advanced discount codes work on POS Lite and POS Pro. Automatic discounts such as quantity tiers, and shipping discounts, need POS Pro.
A Bulk price editor sale is already on the product when the page loads, so nothing is worked out in the shopper's browser. The other five campaign types are worked out by Shopify itself at the cart and checkout, not by a script in your theme. What Discounty adds to your pages is its widgets, loaded through Shopify's app embed, and each one can be switched off.
